Fluent After Dark only loads Google Analytics after you choose “Accept analytics.” If you reject it, the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set.

What we use

With your consent, we measure story starts, pages visited, progress, endings and completion, audio use, language and level changes, unlock clicks, successful sign-ins and feedback submissions. These events include the story, language and level, but no account identifiers, email addresses or feedback comments. Completion means every story page was visited and the ending reached; it does not prove every word was read. Temporary progress used to avoid duplicate events is stored in this tab and expires after 30 minutes of inactivity.

With your permission, Google Analytics helps us understand visits, popular pages, approximate location, and browser or device type. We use that aggregated information to improve the stories and reading experience. We do not enable Google advertising signals or ad personalization.

Cookies

Signing in uses essential, secure session cookies to keep your account signed in for up to 30 days. Short-lived cookies protect the Google sign-in flow. These work independently of your analytics choice. Read our account privacy information.

Google Analytics may set first-party cookies named _ga and _ga_<container-id>. Google documents a default lifetime of two years for these cookies, although browser limits or a withdrawn choice can shorten that period.

Change your mind

Use the control below to accept or reject analytics later. Rejecting analytics disables future collection on this site and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies from this browser. We remember either choice for up to six months, then ask again.
